I have been a fan of Motorsport and speed since the mid-1990s, in particular Formula 1. Over the years I have grown to enjoy many disciplines of racing, the story and technology behind it all.
My first Motorsport experience was the Hondy Indy 300 in the Surfers Paradise in 2001 where Jimmy Vasser won for Target Chip Ganassi Racing. In 2008 I attend my first Formula 1 event being the Australia Grand Prix which Lewis Hamilton and went onto win his first Championship that year.
I started planning Grand Prix travels personally in 2009 where my I attended the German Grand Prix at Nurburgring, Mark Webber won his first Grand Prix and the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Again in 2010 I planned another personal extensive trip in going to the European Grand Prix in Valencia and Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul where famously Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel collieded on the penultimate straight handing the lead to the McLaren Racing. Later in 2010 I visited Sepang Circuit for the Malaysia Grand Prix on a quick whirlwind trip, very lucky to meet 8 drivers - including Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg of Mercedes F1.
In 2011 I start working in the travel sector learning the tricks of the trade across 4 years and attending many more Motorsport events.
18 December 2015, I had the confidence in combining 2 of my passions, Motorsport Events and Travel and now we have GPTouring - a Motorsport Event Travel Agency. |
